Why you won't get charged
We understand that families may be concerned about the fee that Aged Care Decisions charges being ‘passed on’ to them.
The short answer is – no. Under Australian law an aged care provider cannot ‘pass on’ the placement fee we charge or increase their fees to compensate.
The Aged Care Act 1997 clearly defines what types of fees an aged care provider can charge. Aged care providers are not permitted, by law, to charge additional fees beyond that permitted by the Aged Care Act.

These include the full range of aged care services such as, for profit, not for profit and large national brands. As well as those who only operate one or two facilities.
We work in partnership to ensure all vacancy information is constantly updated.

These services will then use the information provided to consider your care needs. This is done prior to advising us whether or not they can cater to the person looking to enter a care facility so that we can help you find the best possible fit.
