About the Aged Care Decisions team:
Our passionate, high-performing team is made up of aged care specialists who are ready to help you at every stage of your aged care journey.
When you connect with Aged Care Decisions you will receive tailored, personalised service and advice from a real person. Our team assists tens of thousands of families across Australia each month.
When you choose Aged Care Decisions’ free service you will be assisted by two types of team members:
A Care Assessment Officer will be your first point of contact. They will gather relevant information about you or your loved one and make sure they understand your care needs and preferences.
A Placement Specialist will then be your ongoing personal contact. They will assist you to find and secure an aged care vacancy or home care provider that suits your specific needs. They will be with you every step of the way. Our Placement Specialists are experts in aged care and can guide you through the aged care process with less stress and hassle – and at zero cost to you.
Is Aged Care Decisions service really 100% FREE?
Our service is 100% free for families.
Providers pay us a set, industry-standard placement fee. Families never pay us a cent.
All providers pay the same fee, regardless of their size and location. We don’t have favourites – we are 100% independent.
Why use Aged Care Decisions to find aged care options?
Finding suitable aged care isn’t as simple as booking a hotel bed. Room vacancies change daily, and home care providers are constantly reviewing where and when they provide services as staff availability changes.
Our innovative technology, partnerships with more than 70% of providers in metro areas, and knowledgeable team combine to make the process faster, easier, and less stressful for families. Essentially, we do all the running around for you.
What can you expect from one of our calls?
When you have completed our enquiry form, you can expect the following process:
You will receive a call from one of our Care Assessment Officers. This will be a confidential discussion about you or your loved one’s current situation, what they are looking for, what support they need, and when they need it. Your Care Assessment Officer will also provide clear and concise information about the aged care process, and what you need to do next.
If you are ready to take the first step towards finding aged care, you will be allocated one of our Placement Specialists, who will be your main point of contact moving forward.
After gathering a few more details, and thoroughly understanding your needs, they will use our custom-built software to generate an aged care Options Report containing available options that suit your specific requirements. This report will be emailed to you after your conversation and will summarise 5-7 provider options for you to consider further.
When you choose your favourites, we connect with providers on your behalf and guide you through the engagement/placement process.

How did Aged Care Decisions get started?
The concept was conceived in 2013 by two Melbourne-based entrepreneurs who recognised the need for accessible, independent, and reliable information to help families compare, select, and engage with aged care providers.
After personally experiencing the difficulty involved with finding suitable aged care for a loved one, they were motivated to find a way to reduce the stress and confusion associated with finding aged care vacancies and providers with availability. And so Aged Care Decisions began.
From humble beginnings (in a tiny office space for two, and with only a handful of clients) the duo has carefully curated a highly skilled, compassionate team of over 120 aged care specialists who assist tens of thousands of families every month.
